Embracing the beauty of family photos becomes even more enchanting as your family grows during a maternity session. Whether it is your first child, second child, third or more, each member contributes to the narrative, creating a tapestry of love and anticipation. These moments are not just a celebration of the imminent arrival but a testament to the unique bonds and connections within your family. My goal is consistently directed towards capturing and highlighting the essence of connections and love found in your family. My maternity sessions are for you and if you wish the immediate family. 

Here are a few tips to help you prepare for your session with me:

Locations: Together we can decide on a location of choice that fits the style that you and your family are looking for. I have many locations that I love to shoot at regularly but I am always open to new locations as well. You should choose a location that fits your style and personality. Time: As a Natural Light Photographer, I use natural light in my photography. Outdoors, I leverage the sun to create soft, flattering lighting on faces and add dimension to photographs. There’s an incomparable quality to natural light that enhances the essence of a photograph. The images in my portfolio look the way they do largely because of my use of light and the time of day your session takes place has a huge impact. In order to achieve, sessions should be one-two hours before sunrise or one-two hours after sunrise. 

What To Wear: Mom to be I recommend that you wear something that is comfortable for you and that highlights your bump. I find that long dresses seem to be the most comfortable and allow for easy moving, however it is entirely up to you. If your family will be in the photos I recommend that you coordinate outfits instead of matching. Colors that complement each other tend to photograph better rather than too many of the same color. Also, when you focus on complementary colors vs all same color, it allows foreach family member unique personality and style to show through. Check out these helpful tips on selecting outfit for your family.
